Red Dead Online UPDATE: Shock update reveals secret details about PS4 and Xbox One game

Red Dead Online release date is fast approaching, with a beta for the multiplayer of Red Dead Redemption 2 expected this month.

While details are pretty sparse right now, Red Dead Redemption 2 fans are expecting a Red Dead Online announcement from Rockstar next week.

This is based on how long gamers had to wait for GTA Online to be released by Rockstar Games following the GTA 5 launch.

Red Dead Online is likely to be a huge hit on the PS4 and Xbox One, judging by how popular GTA Online is.

And ahead of the release of Red Dead Online fans could have been given some major details about the upcoming multiplayer mode.

Before the release date of Red Dead Redemption 2 last month there were rumours swirling that the entire map of RDR would be in the game.

The Red Dead Redemption 2 map is already huge, but it was rumoured that the whole of the RDR map would also feature in it.

**SPOILER ALERT – MINOR SPOILERS FOR RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 TO FOLLOW**

And while players do go back to Blackwater in Red Dead Redemption 2, some parts of the RDR map are still closed off to players.

In a post online, Forbes delved deeper and explained that New Elizabeth and New Austin can be explored in Red Dead Redemption 2.

But the Mexican side of the Red Dead Redemption map (i.e. Nuevo Paraiso,) is missing.

Forbes did explore the area of New Austin in RDR2 and said that it is a huge, sprawling and pretty much empty area devoid of anything of interest.

They speculated that the New Austin area of the Red Dead Redemption 2 map could be being saved up by Rockstar Games for Red Dead Online.

While the Mexican area of the the original Red Dead Redemption could also be being worked on for Red Dead Online.

In other Red Dead Online news, recent leaks have provided a taste of what might be coming to PS4 and Xbox One later this month.

Dataminers believe they have found evidence that Red Dead Online players will be able to buy vehicles and properties when it fully launches.

From what has been shared online, PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to purchase wagons with mounted weapons on them, among other items.

There’s also a list of properties players will be able to buy as well, much like with Rockstar’s other massive hit, GTA Online.

These ideas seem pretty likely for Red Dead Online, although they haven’t been announced by Rockstar yet.

They remain speculation for now, although we do at least have an idea of what could be coming later in November.
