Man Utd news: Jose Mourinho wants Gary Neville help to solve club issue ahead of Juventus

Manchester United boss Mourinho has the backing of Neville, who reacted furiously to reports the 55-year-old would be sacked last month.

The Red Devils face Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday, aiming to get their European campaign back on track following a 1-0 defeat in the reverse fixture a fortnight ago.

Manchester United have had some Champions League issues off the pitch, however, with their preparations often plunged into turmoil.

The club were later arriving to a match against Valencia, resulting in a €15,000 fine from UEFA.

United attempted to solve the situation by moving to the Hilton Garden Hotel for the match against Juventus two weeks ago.

However, they again struggled to make it on time, with Mourinho getting off the bus and walking to Old Trafford instead.

And, in order to solve these woes, United may be about to enlist the help of Neville.

The Sun claim Mourinho wants the Red Devils to book rooms at Neville’s Hotel Football.

It is positioned just outside Old Trafford itself and would certainly make their match day commutes a lot smoother.

A United source told the Sun: “The situation is again being reviewed after the Juventus drama. It has been a shambles if truth be told.

“Hotel Football was flagged up as a suggestion and it would solve the recent travel issues, certainly in terms of the logistics.

“United would have to make the approach but even then, Ryan and Gary have no problem booking the place out on match weekends, so might be conflicted if the call comes.”

United’s match against Juventus promises to be a cracker.

And Ander Herrera has warned the Old Lady, and next weekend’s opponents Manchester City, that they will not be easy to beat.

“If we want to win against Juventus, against Man City, we cannot concede what we did in the first half today, even more with the team we have,” he said.

“When I see some players training or some players the way they played in the second half [against Bournemouth], Anthony, Jesse when he came in, Marcus Rashford, we have to win a lot of games with these players.

“So let’s try to improve for the next game, from the first minute.”
