Red Dead 2 Online release date NEWS: Battle Royale mode CONFIRMED?

Red Dead Redemption 2 has already proven to be a massive hit on PS4 and Xbox One.

And the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 is just the beginning for Rockstar, who plan to release the Red Dead 2 Online beta very soon.

The Red Dead Redemption 2 Online beta has been given a November release date on PS4 and Xbox One.

If it follows the same pattern as GTA 5 Online – which launched two weeks after the release of GTA 5 – then the Red Dead 2 Online beta will have a November 9 release date

And it’s possible Red Dead 2 Online could have a Battle Royale mode when it launches later this month.

UK site Trusted Reviews recently agreed to donate over £1 million to charity after publishing an article “sourced from a confidential corporate document” about Red Dead Redemption 2.

The site has since replaced the article with an apology“On February 6, 2018, we published an article that was sourced from a confidential corporate document.”

The updated article continues: “We should have known this information was confidential and should not have published it.

“We unreservedly apologise to Take-Two Games and we have undertaken not to repeat such actions again. We have also agreed to donate over £1 million to charities chosen by Take-Two Games.”

The original article correctly stated that Red Dead Redemption 2 would feature a first-person mode and that it would launch alongside a companion app.

Interestingly, the article also suggested that Red Dead Redemption 2 Online would feature a Battle Royale mode.

Rockstar is yet to confirm plans to release a Battle Royale mode, but it certainly sounds plausible.

What we do know is that Red Dead Redemption 2 is described as an “evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption”.

It’s said to blend narrative with competitive and co-op gameplay, so expect an experience similar to GTA Online.

Rockstar explains more: “Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.

“Red Dead Online is planned for launch in November 2018, initially as a public beta, with more news to come soon.”
