Rare coin collectors can get their hands on a “rare and valuable” 50 pence piece – if they act fast.
The coin has been listed on eBay, with a Buy it Now price of £750.
The circulated piece is from 2011, and is World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) themed.
It was recently put up for sale on the auction site by the eBay user “atho4286”.

The 2011 piece was created in order to celebrate 50 years of the work of WWF.
The WWF tackles conservation of endangered species and their habitats, as well as environmental problems across the world.
The design includes the date and the logo of the organisation.
Birds, penguins, and elephants are also depicted on the coin – as well as trees, a human hand and foot prints.
The reverse was designed by graphic designer Matthew Dent.
Speaking of the 50 pence piece, he said: “I wanted to design a selection of stylised icons to represent the various facets of WWF that would be recognisable when fitted onto the coin’s face.
“Peer closely and you’ll see mammals, birds, fish, insects and lizards, fruit, seeds, trees and plants, and icons representing the human impact.”
The website Change Checker ranked the WWF coin as having a scarcity index of 10.
In comparison, the Kew Gardens piece has a scarcity index of 100, with a mintage of only 210,000.
While it may be listed on eBay for £750, the 50p coin has a mintage of 3,400,000, and according to Coin News Magazine, a value of £2.
However, with 31 people viewing the coin per hour, it seems that the coin is certainly generating interest.
Another notable item for sale on eBay is a 2016 £1 coin – which has been put up for sale for an astonishing £5,000.
According to its seller, “howling_wolf_2008”, the eye-watering price is due to a major minting error.
They described it as: “RARE DEFECT ONE POUND COIN ERROR FAULT.”
Later, they explained the top of the Queen Elizabeth’s head has slipped to overlap with the crown.
