Netflix and its on-demand service has proved spectacularly popular with consumers.
The streaming service hit an incredible 117.6 million subscribers globally in the last quarter.
Among the myriad of options Netflix offers is the Continue Watching option, which saves where you are in a show, allowing users to pick up where they left off.
It’s a clever feature, but sometimes users want to remove Continue Watching from Netflix.

How to remove Continue Watching from the Netflix homepage:
Finishing a show entirely is an impractical way to solve the problem.
But there is a way to delete it from your viewing history.
Access the viewing history by clicking on the active profile name in the upper right corner of the screen.
Then select Account in the menu.
Scroll to the My Profile then select the Viewing Activity link.
This opens the profile’s viewing history, which lists everything in chronological order.
The list does not distinguish between those watched from beginning to end and those half finished.
Find the show or movie – it might help by pressing Ctrl-F to search for the item.
The simply select the X icon next to the item to remove it from your viewing history.
Selecting entire seasons generates a prompt confirming your wish to do so.
Remember, removing an item from your viewing history will remove it from the history on all devices you use to access Netflix.
It may take up to 24 hours for the item to be removed from your history.
Netflix Profiles:
Creating profiles are helpful on Netflix if you use the service with others.
These separate viewing history and the resulting recommendations.
Couples may want to create three profiles for instance, one for each individual user and one for them together.
You create new profiles with a click on the user icon in the top right corner and the selection of manage profiles from the menu.
Click on add profile to add a new one and name it accordingly for easy distinction.
