Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, broke her silence on Instagram back on October 16, after the weekly magazine, Closer, publicly apologised to her.
The 59-year-old reposted a screenshot of the apology, which was posted on the publication’s website.
After sharing the snap with her 149,000 Instagram followers and 122,000 Twitter followers, fans rushed to show their support.
The statement saw the magazine accept that a story suggesting she was “considering writing or accepting financial reward” for a book about the Royal Family was “based on pure speculation, and is totally without foundation”.
Clearly delighted by the outcome, one Instagram user penned: “I’ve always been a fan of yours. Congratulations on your beautiful daughter’s wedding.”

Fergie married Prince Andrew, Duke of York, back in 1986 at Westminster Abbey.
The pair welcomed their first child – daughter Princess Beatrice – together two years later.
In March 1990, their second daughter, Princess Eugenie, was born.
The duo announced their separation in March 1992, and were granted a divorce four years later.
Despite their marriage having ended, it is believed the pair still have a good friendship.
It has previously been reported that the royal pair still share a home – the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
Earlier this month, Prince Andrew and Sarah were pictured arriving at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, ahead of their youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, 28, marrying Jack Brooksbank.
