Britain’s best value supermarket REVEALED – is it who you think?

Britain’s best value supermarket has been named, with Aldi taking the title for the fourth year in a row.

The German supermarket giant was voted the best value shop at the Moneywise Home Finance Awards 2018.

The awards judge businesses on their value for money and customer service, with thousands of Moneywise readers casting their votes.

Once again, Aldi was named the best value in Britain, beating Asda, Lidl and Tesco.

Best value wasn’t the only accolade that Aldi took home at the 2018 Moneywise awards.

The budget retailer was also voted Best Supermarket, Best Produce, Best In-store Experience, and Best Online Supermarket.

The Britain’s Best Value win was just the latest in a streak of awards won by Aldi.

Earlier in the year Aldi also won gold at the Grocer Gold Awards 2018, being named Grocer of the Year.

The store was recognised by the judges for its “willingness and ability to adapt to the needs of the UK shopper”.

Showing no signs of slowing down, this is the fourth year Aldi has won the impressive accolade.

Julie Ashfield, managing director of corporate buying at Aldi, said: “We are thrilled to have been voted Britain’s Best Value Supermarket for the fourth year running at the Moneywise Home Finance Awards.

“In an increasingly competitive market Aldi are committed to ensuring our customers have access to great quality products at fantastic prices, and we’re proud that the British public continue to recognise the benefits of shopping with us.”

Aldi is the UK’s fifth largest and fastest-growing supermarket chain, with over 775.

Aldi also impressed in the recent Good Housekeeping Taste Test.
