OnePlus 6T leak reveals some very interesting details about this new flagship

OnePlus 6T is the name of the successor to the acclaimed OnePlus 6 that released earlier this year.

The Chinese firm has teased the device a number of times and confirmed it will arrive with a fingerprint reader underneath its display.

OnePlus has insisted this new method of accessibility will join face unlock and traditional pin and pattern procedures to give fans more choice than ever.

OnePlus 6T is also expected to come with similar internals to the OnePlus 6.

This means a Snapdragon 845 chipset will likely power the device alongside an Adreno 630 GPU.

And now a new leak appears to have detailed the possible RAM and storage models the OnePlus 6T will arrive with.

MySmartPrice, collaborating with Indian leaker Ishan Agarwal, recently declared it expects the 6T to come in three models.

The first was claimed to have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage while the second was said to arrive touting 8GB of RAM and 128GB of memory.

Moreover, the third variant was said to feature 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

If true, this would mark a substantial bump in base level capacity from the 64GB offered on the OnePlus 6.

Agarwal and MySmartPrice also showed off an alleged price list for all three devices in India.

It was claimed the entry-level OnePlus 6T would be priced at 37,999 Indian Rupees (£394.52) while the 8GB of RAM models would come in at 40,999 (£425.67) and 44,999 Indian Rupees (£467.20) for the 128GB and 256GB capacities respectively.

An image that accompanied the price list also appeared to show the OnePlus 6T in full.

The Android flagship was shown with incredibly tiny bezels with a small cutout for the front-facing camera at the top of the display.

The back of the device featured signature OnePlus branding and a dual-camera system was displayed.

A headphone jack was lacking in the image shown, adhering to OnePlus’ earlier confirmation the 6T will forgo a headphone jack.

Carl Pei, a co-founder of the Chinese firm, sat down with TechRadar last month and discussed the benefits of ousting the port.

He insisted battery life on the OnePlus 6T would be improved thanks to the freed up space inside the hardware.

Pei told the outlet: “By removing the jack we’ve freed up more space, allowing us to put more new technology into the product.

“One of the big things is something our users have asked us for, improved battery life.”

Although the recent leak is incredibly tantalising, Android fans will not have to wait long to see if the OnePlus 6T will indeed arrive in three models.

The Chinese firm will lift the lid on its new product at an event in New York City on October 30.
