The first step of the official Fallout 76 beta has begun, with it now possible to download the files to your Xbox console.
This same option doesn’t appear to be available on PS4 consoles yet, with the Xbox One beta running first.
Xbox One gamers who have pre-ordered Fallout 76 will get to start playing a full week before PS4 and PC gamers.
The Xbox beta kicks off October 23rd, with the other platforms getting access a week later on October 30th.
And fans who own an Xbox One can now start getting prepared for the big launch.
vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.
The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.
According to a new Reddit post, players are now able to download the beta if they have a code for it.
Sharing the news online, it was also confirmed that fans who recently played the stress test version of the game would need to download the beta too.
This is because the beta will be the full version of the game, with data transferring over to the full launch.
Meanwhile, the stress test version is an earlier build that will not be updated by Bethesda.
“The Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. con now be downloaded by anyone who pre-ordered Fallout 76 digitally on the Xbox Store,” the Reddit message reads.
“Just search it up on the store and it’ll appear in the search results. It’s 43.47 GB, and it’s going to be playable on October 23rd.
“No word yet on physical pre-orders, but it will probably be available sometime within the week.
“Keep in mind that the Stress Test and the B.E.T.A. are not the same file. They are two separate files.
“There’s going to be another Stress Test sometime before the 23rd, so don’t delete its file just yet if you want to participate.
“The B.E.T.A. is said to perform better than the version from the previous test, so we’ll see.
“Also, the B.E.T.A. is not under NDA like the Stress Test is. The final game will have to be downloaded again, as it will not use the same file/client as the B.E.T.A.”
While fans on PS4 don’t seem able to download the Fallout 76 beta yet, they have received an update on it.
A new message on the PlayStation Store confirms how long the new beta will run on PS4.
Dates from the advert have revealed that the Fallout 76 beta will be available to play until November 11.
If Bethesda follows the week’s schedule for the PS4 version of the beta, players should get access to download it on PS4 on October 24.
Running things a little differently from other companies, the Fallout beta will not be available 24hrs a day.
Instead, Bethesda will be looking to try out the game at specific times, meaning it will be available in short bursts.
