UPDATE ONE: Here is a list of PlayStation Network services currently not working, according to Sony.
These services include Account Management, Gaming And Social, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Store and PlayStation Music.
Today’s PSN down time has been confirmed to be affecting titles such as Call of Duty Black Ops 4, Destiny 2 and Fortnite Battle Royale.
ORIGINAL: It looks like Sony’s PlayStation Network may have been hit by a new issue tonight.
PS4 users are reporting problems playing games and accessing the PSN.
Sony’s PSN Status page confirms issues are currently affecting all core services of the PSN tonight.
This includes gaming and social features on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, with web services also facing problems.
“You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features.
“Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”
PS4 gamers are also reporting being locked out of their games via the PlayStation dashboard.
No ETA has been given on how long the disruption may last, or what might be causing it.
More information is expected to be shared by the PlayStation Support Team, if problems persist.
“All of my games have lock symbol next to them and when I click an app it says “cannot use the content, cannot connect to the server to verify the license,” one user writes.
While another adds: “I just got a message claiming Playstation Plus has expired, though.. which makes no sense, since I paid for 3 years subscription, only last year.”
It appears that tonight’s problems are affecting PS4 gamers all around the globe, with the UK included.
