NBA news: Golden State Warriors backed to lift title ahead of Boston Celtics – Latest odds

The Golden State Warriors have been tipped to seal the NBA Championship title once again ahead of the 2018/19 season.

The past four NBA Finals have all been played out between the Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, with the Western Conference outfit winning three of those showpiece events.

Steph Curry and his Warriors team-mates are eyeing their third consecutive triumph and have been installed as favourites to finish top of the pile by bookmakers Coral.

However, they will be hard-pressed by the Houston Rockets in the regular season while the Boston Celtics are heavily favoured in the Eastern Conference.

A starting five of Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward and Al Horford looks one of the strongest across both divisions and should cause Golden State some trouble in the Play-offs.

However, the signing of DeMarcus Cousins has only strengthened the defending champions’ position and cements their spot as the team to beat.

A huge close season of trade deals has seen LeBron James swap the Cavs for the Los Angeles Lakers while Kawhi Leonard will hope to push the Toronto Raptors into contention after switching from the San Antonio Spurs.

There is also the opportunity for some upsets with Paul George remaining at Oklahoma City Thunder while rising star Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers will fancy their chances – but who are you backing to win the 2018/19 NBA Championship?
