Amazon Echo rival – Everything to know about the Google Home Hub

Amazon released its Echo Show product last year that delivered the same helpful Alexa functionality fans are accustomed to, but added a 7-inch display to allow for greater levels of interactivity.

The product was able to harness Amazon Prime Video to deliver a substantial content offering too.

And Amazon recently announced the second-generation of the Echo Show that features a bigger screen and improved sound quality.

The display on the Echo show 2nd generation is 10-inches and the design overall is more minimalist than the previous version.

Smaller bezels are present around the panel that will surely make for a more immersive viewing experience overall.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

The new Amazon Echo show will be released on November 7 and it will be rivalled by the all-newΒ Google Home Hub.

Although much of the attention was paid to its Pixel line of smartphones during its recent keynote, the American tech giant was eager to detail all the features Google Home Hub will bring to the table.

Google Home Hub comes with a 7-inch display is available in sand, aqua, chalk and charcoal colours.

The subtle design means the product will not be immediately noticed in your home for its aesthetics.

However, the installed Google Assistant is capable of performing a manner of tasks and can answer questions, just like on Android smartphones and Google Home products.

But the screen on the device means contextual information can be displayed to the owner.

Google Home Hub can show different routines, meaning in the morning it can provide a weather forecast and display scheduled events.

But in the evening it can be used to turn off your lights if they are equipped with smart home functionality for instance.

Dinner recipes can be demonstrated too with video showing the user how to perform certain tasks in the kitchen.

And voice commands can be used to control the interface in addition to a traditional touch method.

Google Home Hub is priced at Β£139 and is currently available to pre-order.

The device will officially release on October 22.
