Fortnite Skull Trooper and Ranger skins the first Halloween surprises from Epic Games?

The Skull Trooper and Ranger skins are currently available to buy from the item shop as part of Epic Games’ plans for Halloween.

They follow on from the new spooky decorations that can be spotted around the season 6 map.

But is there a chance that the Skull Trooper is just the start of something big for Fortnite Battle Royale?

Fans have noticed a few other little details since the return of the season 1 skin, some of it was only available to those who own the original design.

Players who bought the original skin now have the added option of making it sport a Purple Glow variant.

It’s a nice little nod for those who have just lost a massively rare design which was only available to those who have played the game since season 1.

There’s also the chance of some kind of big in-game event being planned for Fortnite on Halloween.

Epic Games has gotten in the swing of launching new updates on Tuesdays, that is until Season 6 began.

This has now been switched to Wednesdays, which helpfully lines up with October 31, Halloween.

This would mean that Epic Games are ideally placed to release a significant new Halloween update on the day itself.

We already know that the Floating Island will play a greater role in season 6, so might something happen on October 31?

Epic Games are known for sharing plenty of clues before they do launch an in-game event, so it’s unlikely that fans will get caught out.

And if nothing does happen on Halloween, fans at least have the bonus of new Halloween skins being released in the coming weeks.

Plenty of new Halloween surprises are being worked on by Epic Games for Fortnite Battle Royale.

This was confirmed today by the new skins that were found by data miners and then leaked online.

There were a total of five new skins revealed that have yet to be added to the game, either through the item shop or the battle pass.

Four of these new skins will fit in with the Halloween celebrations this month, named Jack Gourdan, Hollowhead, Plague and Scourge.

Some of the other new items have been released as part of the new Skull Trooper gear that launched in the item shop.

And the description for it reveals that there will be specific challenges that help Fortnite players unlock extra gear.

It reads: “Skull Squad Gear available now! Complete challenges to earn the Ghost Portal Back Bling”.

The official Fortnite Twitter later confirmed the return of the Skull Trooper after the skin’s comeback leaked earlier on.
