A bizarre law that lets any motorists park on your driveway could be scrapped.
The new law would stop any motorist parking on private property.
Under current laws, drivers are fairly powerless when it comes to removing a driver than parks on your driveway without permission.
Jersey will aim to tackle this by now classifying the offences as ‘nuisance parking.’
A new draft law lodged by the Minister for Home Affairs proposed that these cars would be able to be removed if they parked on your driveway without permission.

The law would also make it illegal for drivers to place a clamp on cars parked on their driveway without permission.
Currently, the law is only proposed to come into force in Jersey meaning not all motorists from across the UK will be able to benefit from the rule change.
Constable Len Norman, Jersey’s Minister for Home Affairs, told ITV Channel TV: “Vehicles that are parked on private land without permission can be a source of great frustration for private landowners.
“Currently, private landowners have few remedies to deal with the problem, and it can involve a costly legal process.
“The introduction of this law will make it much easier for private landowners to seek relief from vehicles that have been abandoned on their land or that are causing a nuisance, obstruction or a potential hazard to the emergency services.”
Parking on a motorists driveway is a tricky issue to price as it blurs the line between a civil and criminal offence.
Local authorities can remove a vehicle that is parked on a public road, blocking your driveway.
However, if it is on your driveway then the authorities have no jurisdiction.
