Capcom news: Resident Evil 2 Remake, Monster Hunter World Steam sale and Street Fighter 5

Capcom fans have plenty of high-profile games on the horizon with the biggest one arguably the Resident Evil 2 Remake.

The complete rebuild of the PS1 classic from 1998 sees players step into the shoes of Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield in a zombie-filled Raccoon City.

Fans have been treated to plenty of footage of the game since the first gameplay footage was revealed at E3 2018 in June.

And now Capcom has released a new video showcasing over 30 minutes of the Resident Evil 2 Remake focused on Claire.

Capcom fans can also get money off one of the biggest releases of 2018 – Monster Hunter World.

The latest entry in the wildly popular series first came out on PS4 and Xbox One at the start of the year before launching on PCs in August.

It has gone on to become the most successful ever Capcom game ever, and now PC fans can get Monster Hunter World at a great price.

Steam is running a sale until October 12 on Monster Hunter World right now.

Fans can save 20 per cent off the regular Monster Hunter World price, bringing it down from £49.99 to £39.99.

If you want to take advantage of this deal then you need to head to this page on the Steam website.

And finally Capcom fans have also been given an update about Street Fighter V.

The latest entry in the iconic beat ‘em up series first arrived on the PS4 and PCs back in February 2016.

The arcade edition, which includes DLC characters from season one and two as well as new game modes and interface changes, was released this year.

And while Street Fighter 5 has so far been exclusively for PS4 and PCs, it will now be playable in the place the series made its name.

Arcades have sadly become few and far between in the UK – bar great places like The Heart of Gaming in Croydon and Las Vegas in Soho, London.

But in Japan arcades are still big business all around the country.

The arcades are where the Street Fighter series made a name for itself, with Street Fighter 2 becoming a smash hit in these spots back in the 90s.

And this month Capcom will be bringing the latest entry in the Street Fighter series to arcades once again.

As reported by Gematsu, the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be playable in Japanese arcades in October.

The arcade version features all playable characters and even boasts a USB slot so players can connect their own controller or stick.

A location test for the arcade cabinet will run between October 5 and 7 in areas like Shinjuku, Osaka and Nagoya.
