McGregor Khabib: UFC 229 result CORRECTLY predicted by PS4 and Xbox One game

Conor McGregor was beaten by Khabib Nurmagomedov in a controversial UFC 229 fight in Las Vegas this weekend.

The Notorious was defeated after an ill-tempered build-up to UFC 229 with the result meaning Khabib has won all 27 UFC fights he has stepped into the ring for.

But it’s the aftermath of UFC 229 that will have everyone talking, with ugly scenes following Khabib’s win.

After a fourth round McGregor tapout Khabib leapt over the cage and headed towards the Irishman’s team where a melee broke out.

And in the ring McGregor was punched by one of Nurmagomedov’s team.

While no one could have predicted the shock scenes after UFC 229, the result of the fight was predicted by a PS4 and Xbox One game beforehand.

A YouTube video posted by The Koalition pitted CPU versions of Khabib and McGregor against one another in UFC 3.

The PS4 and Xbox One game, made by EA Sports, is the only officially licensed UFC game around.

The simulation of the fight revealed in a post on YouTube had McGregor and Khabib face off in Las Vegas, Nevada.

And just like in real-life, the computer simulation ended with a Khabib victory via a tappet.

You can watch the UFC simulation of the Khabib McGregor fight by clicking here to be directed to the relevant YouTube page.

While UFC 3 correctly predicted Khabib would emerge victorious, it’s worth pointing out a few notable differences.

In real-life Khabib got a McGregor submission in the fourth round, not the third like in the video game simulation.

And the YouTube video also shows McGregor taping out from an armbar, as opposed to a rear-naked choke in real-life.

Following the controversial fight in Las Vegas this weekend three of Khabib’s team were arrested and then later released.

UFC president Dana White said McGregor decided against pressing charges.

Speaking in his press conference after the fight, Khabib said: “I know this is not by my best side.

“I’m human being. I don’t understand how people can talk about (how) I jump over the cage.

“He talk about my religion, he talk about my country.

“He talk about my mother. He come to Brooklyn and he broke bus.

“What about this s***? Why are people talk about I jump over the cage?

“My father teach me you have to always be respectful. … You can not talk about religion.

“You can not talk about nation.”
