Conor McGregor attack: Where is he now? Did McGregor get injured and is he in hospital?

Khabib Nurmagomedov won the lightweight fight against Conor McGregor during their match in Las Vegas at UFC 229 last night.

The Russian was victorious in the fourth round as Irishman McGregor was defeated for the second time in UFC.

But after the match was over, Khabib leapt out of the octagon to attack Bellator fighter Dillion Danis

He is one of McGregor’s closest friends in the camp as they both do jujitsu together.

Danis was later escorted out of the venue by police and McGregor was reportedly not involved at this point.

He had his back to proceedings but was then attacked from behind by two of “khabib’s friends”, who punched him when he wasn’t looking, according to UFC pundits.

UFC president Dana White confirmed three men have been arrested.

He also refused to hand over the belt to Nurmagomedov, who now has 27 straight wins and no defeats in the UFC.

The president said: “Three of his [Khabib’s] guys have been arrested and taken to jail.

“The three guys that were involved in the incident, I believe it was those three, have been arrested and taken to jail right now.”

Where is McGregor now?

McGregor has not confirmed where he is now or whether he went to hospital after the attack.

He did not speak at the press conference afterwards.

However, he instead announced a rematch after he sent a tweet at 10.20am BST.

He wrote: “Good knock. Looking forward to the rematch.”

A post match media conference at the T-Mobile Arena was delayed.

However, Nurmagomedov admitted during the conference: “First of all I want to say sorry to athletic commission Nevada, to Vegas, I know this is not my best side. This is not my best side.

“He talked about my religion, he talk about my country, he talk about my father, he come to Brooklyn and he broke bus, he almost killed a couple people – what about this?”
