Man Utd insider reveals exact reason why players are AGAINST Jose Mourinho

Mourinho has lost the support of the dressing room and could lose his job after this weekend’s Premier League clash with Newcastle.

Manchester United have gone four games without a win and Jose Mourinho is on the brink of the sack.

He has clashed with Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez and club captain Antonio Valencia.

And, according to the Mirror, a source has claimed the players have been ‘hurt’ by Mourinho’s words and think he has undermined their confidence which has let the negativity at the club spiral.

It is also claimed some players believe he is too quick to point the finger at individuals and should take responsibility for the poor form.

In a brief press conference this morning, lasting just three and a half minutes, Mourinho answered just five of six questions that went his way.

He refused to explain why the club are struggling but did admit it wasn’t good enough.

When asked why things were not working, he said: “For many different reasons.”

And then when asked if he could elaborate, he said: “No.”

Asked if it was not good enough Mourinho said: “Yes, I accept.

“I know we are in the beginning of October and we look to tables all around Europe and in many of the leagues the tables in September and October don’t reflect what is going to happen in a few months or even at the end of the season.

“But we are in a position where we can do much better and to do that we need points, points that we lost especially in the last two Premier League matches, with one point out of six.

“We know that to improve that position we need to win these three points, but we know that our opposition also need the points.

“They have a very, very very good coach, a team that is always very well organised, against especially the teams of the first part of the table, where their manager is very bright on his analysis of the opposition qualities and to try to stop them.

“The results they’ve had against the top teams didn’t get them points yet this season, but gave them very, very close results and very difficult matches for the opposition. So we expect a difficult match.”

United are almost certainly already out of the title race, sitting in 10th after their worst start to a league campaign since 1989.

And Mourinho could be replaced next week during the international break.

Zinedine Zidane is the big favourite to take over and Brendan Rodgers has emerged as second in most of the bookies’ lists.

And former midfielder Paul Ince thinks Mourinho could go this weekend if the Newcastle result is another poor one.

“If they lose on Saturday evening, particularly if it’s a bad loss, there will be a decision made on Jose Mourinho’s future very quickly,” Paul Ince told Paddy Power.

“If they don’t get a result against Newcastle this weekend, Jose Mourinho is in real danger.

“He won’t walk, because that’s not in his character. I hate the thought of Jose being sacked.

“But, If you’re not picking up results and there’s this black cloud hanging around Old Trafford, your time as manager is running out.

“The signs are not looking good for him. The fact is, United are no better off than they were before Mourinho.

“In the past, you’d say United aren’t the kind of club to just sack a manager.

“But it seems that is what they’re like now.”
