WWE news: Will Kurt Angle return at WWE Super Show-Down? Fas will love this

RAW General Manager Angle hasn’t been seen in WWE TV since August 20 when Stephanie McMahon ordered him to take a vacation as she blamed him for the attack she suffered from RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

Baron Corbin replaced him as the Acting RAW GM and has been running WWE’s flagship show ever since.

According to Ringside News, Joe Peisich said in Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast that there is a chance the six-time world champion will return at WWE Super Show-Down to regain control of the red brand.

Peisich said: “Kurt Angle, everybody wants to know what’s happening with Kurt Angle.

“He has been contacted, I just received a text — Kurt Angle may be appearing at the Super Show-Down, believe it or not.”

Rumours suggest Angle will return to the squared circle for a fight against Corbin and The Lone Wolf is keen to face the WWE Hall of Famer.

He told Give Me Sport: “I mean, we all know Kurt and he has been here a long time and he’s done a lot of amazing things.

“And I think him as a competitor, if I push his buttons enough, one of these times he’s going to snap.

“I think it’s one of those things where it will definitely happen. Knowing Kurt and knowing how frustrated he can get, and I can be quite the aggressor myself.

“It’s one of those things where whether they [WWE] want it to happen or not, it may happen.”

Angle is one of the most successful professional wrestlers of all time as he has beaten the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker and other greats.

The ex-WWE Champion returned to Vince McMahon’s promotion last year after an 11-year stint in TNA and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by John Cena.

He was appointed as RAW’s General Manager immediately after WrestleMania 33 and quickly returned to the ring for a brutal match at TLC.

The wrestling legend teamed up with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose after their Shield partner Roman Reigns was sidelined due to an undisclosed illness.

The dream team beat The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman and Kane in a 5-on-3 Tables, Ladders and Chairs Handicap Match.

He then captained Team RAW and led Triple H, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor and Strowman to victory over Team Smackdown’s Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Cena, Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura at Survivor Series.

But the best match of Angle’s second WWE run took place at WrestleMania 34 where he teamed up with fellow Olympian Rousey and beat McMahon as well as Triple H in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

His last performance took place at the Greatest Royal Rumble last April in Saudi Arabia where he competed in the first ever 50-man over-the-top-rope battle royal.
