Overwatch Halloween 2018 skins update: First skin for Halloween Terror event REVEALED

Halloween 2018 event is kicking off in a few days time and ahead of it the first new skin for Halloween Terror has been revealed.

Earlier this week the release date for the Overwatch Halloween Terror 2018 event was revealed by Blizzard.

The Overwatch Halloween event will be kicking off on October 9 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Judging by past Overwatch releases, fans can expect it to go live between 6pm and 7pm BST.

We already know that the Junkenstein’s Bride skin will be making a return, thanks to comments from Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan.

And now the official Overwatch Twitter account has started drip feeding the upcoming new cosmetics.

The official Overwatch Twitter has given fans the first look at a new skin coming with the Halloween Terror event.

This inbound cosmetic is the new Swamp Monster Doomfist Halloween skin for Overwatch.

Some Overwatch fans have already taken to dubbing the new Doomfist skin ‘Doomfish’ – since The Successor now boasts a new fish-like look.

The Overwatch Twitter posted: “Just keep swimming.

“Make a splash as SWAMP MONSTER DOOMFIST (Legendary)!

“Overwatch Halloween Terror begins Oct 9!”

Fans will also be able to purchase skins from past Overwatch Halloween events once the new Halloween Terror event kicks off on Tuesday.

These returning skins will cost 1,000 credits, while the new skins will be available for 3,000 credits.

The Halloween Terror 2018 release date was confirmed alongside a brand new map teaser.

“There’s a rumour among explorers about a monolithic lair,” reads a Blizzard tweet.

“Home to terrifying horrors. Heroes, how will you prepare?”

The rhyme was posted alongside a short teaser video, which hints at a new map location.

Judging by the video, Chateau Guillard is getting a Halloween makeover, perhaps for the Junkenstein’s Revenge game mode.

Kaplan told fans to expect one or two minor tweaks in the Junkenstein’s Revenge game mode, which pits four heroes against waves of enemies.

The Halloween Terror event could launch alongside the recently announced Torbjorn rework.
