That’s the view of former Reds defender Phil Babb, who saw his old club beaten in the Champions League for their first loss of the season.
Liverpool did not register a single shot on target during the whole game with Lorenzo Insigne’s late strike doing the damage.
It means the Reds have not won in three matches across all competitions, with Chelsea knocking them out of the Carabao Cup before holding Liverpool to a draw in the Premier League.
The Anfield outfit are still joint-top of the Premier League table, alongside Manchester City, with both having earned 19 points so far.
But Babb believes the first defeat of the new campaign may be the catalyst to greater things.

“Maybe it is the kick up the backside that we might need,” Babb said.
“It’s not easy in the Champions League, it’s a very difficult competition.
“Even to get out of this group, not only PSG, but Red Star won’t be easy when we go over there.
“It means we have to focus more on individual performances on the night and against who we are playing against.
“It was a bad night at the office, I hope we don’t do it again.”
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted his side were not good enough in Naples.
“We had our moments, but too often the formation was not right or we moved in the wrong spaces,” said Klopp.
“The job of the midfield three was nearly impossible.
“You have to stay calm in a situation like that, but we were too hectic with the ball.
“They were on their bikes. We let them do what they did.
“We had good moments, but not enough. A 0-0 away from home is OK, but we made a mistake before their goal.
“That’s the second time this season that we have conceded a goal like that.”
