
One man is in a critical condition after being shot in the head, police said.
Gunfire erupted in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighbourhood shortly before 8pm BST (3pm local time).
At least five people were shot in the attack, which happened in a car park outside Freedom Square Shopping Centre.
Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said: “The occupants of a White Chevy Impala came through the parking lot, firing multiple rounds hitting all five males.
”They then turned northbound on Germantown Avenue.”

Police said the victims were a 23-year-old man, another man, 20, and two 19-year-old men.
Their condition is listed as stable, the Philadelphia Police Department said.
A fifth man, aged 20, is in a critical condition.
Commissioner Ross said police believe the men were intentionally targeted.
Last month, two people were shot in a drive-by shooting in Germantown.
Police the suspect vehicle began firing on a group of five people who were sat in the porch of a house.
An 18-year-old woman was hit twice in the stomach and a 20-year-old man was shot in the arm and chest.
