Why would anyone need anything else if they had the Infinity Gauntlet?
The end of Infinity War showed the Gauntlet blackened and damaged after channelling the power of all six Infinity Stones. Even the directors confirmed it was ruined.
There is huge speculation that the second mould shown in Eitri’s workshop might be used to create a new Gauntlet, but for the Avengeers or Thanos?
There is also the strong suspicion that Thanos has neither the strength nor the will to use the full Gauntlet ever again. Instead, a new leaked image shows a photograph of a particularly evil looking weapon, matching earlier leaked concept art.
Back in June a picture surfaced showing Thanos in modified armour and holding a massive double-ended blade.

It was unclear whether this was an abandoned idea for Infinity War but now a new photograph seems to confirm that the Mad Titan will have a new weapon.
Throughout his long history in the Marvel comics, Thanos rarely uses anything other than his fists, which were more than enough to defeat Hulk and crush the life from Loki on screen.
Avengers 4 is expected to show one last confrontation between Thanos and the remaining heroes, plus the mightily powerful Captain Marvel. This new metal blade might come in handy.
Redditor anirudhhamarvel posted the image earlier today and fan sites and news agencies are picking it up.
The weapon is larger than most men with a central grip and has deadly heavy blades like a cross between swords and meat cleavers at each end. The blades face in opposite directions allowing multi-direction attacks or some sort of terrifying whirling move.
It is impressive but why would Thanos need it?
Powerful theories suggest that the Titan will be suffering an unimaginable mental and emotional toll following the Snap. The Soul Stone in particular exerts a terrible price. Thanos already suffered greatly when he sacrificed his adopted daughter Gamora. How much more must he be bearing now after taking half of all life across the universe?
The Gauntlet might have been badly damaged, but Thanos was still able to use the Space Stone to transport himself away from Earth and Thor at the end of Infinity War.
There is also an argument that he used the Time Stone, since he appears to be sitting on his home planet Thanos in the final scene, but Thanos is a ravaged and desolate planet in the present day. Has he travelled back to an idyllic past or foward to its regenerated future?
Will he ever use any of the Infinity Stones again? Mighty as he is, can he possibly face the Avengers and Captain Marvel armed with a blade, however impressive?
