Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 price drop – Why now is a very good time to buy a Samsung flagship

October might be all about the release of Google’s Pixel 3, Apple’s iPhone XR and the OnePlus 6T but don’t forget .

The Korean technology firm has some very good offers on its devices with prices cut on both the Galaxy S8 and flagship S9.

If you buy either of these phones direct from Samsung, you can expect a discount with the S8 currently costing £609 and the S9 reduced to £679.

There’s also the company’s trade-in scheme, which can reduce the devices by another £250, and zero percent finance is available to those who want to spread the cost.

However, if you shop around things get even better.

Amazon is selling last year’s Galaxy S8 for just £395 and the online retailer has the S9 for £605.

If you want the phones on contract there are also some good offers right now including a very low £18 per month deal from Mobiles.co.uk.

This offer, on the Galaxy S8, comes with 1GB of data plus unlimited calls and texts.

There’s a £150 upfront fee to pay with the total over the two-year contract totalling £582.

If it’s the latest S9 flagship you want tucked inside your pocket then there’s a £23 per month contract.

This includes 3GB of data with a £135 upfront cost with the two-year deal costing £687.

Another good deal that’s just been announced comes from Tesco Mobile.

The operator has announced it is giving customers the chance to snap up high-end tech gifts when they purchase selected Samsung smartphones this October.

Prices start from just £27.49 a month, and featured handsets include the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Gifts range in value from £79 to £219 and include the sleek Samsung Gear 360 Camera (2017) (RRP £219), AKG Y50BT On-ear Headphones (RRP £99.99) and the Samsung Convertible Wireless Charger (RRP £79).
