Fortnite Halloween event: Epic Games makes BIG map update ahead of October event

Battle Royale developer Epic Games has updated the map with some spooky new decorations.

Hinting at a big Halloween event this October, homes in Pleasant Park and streetlights in Tilted Towers have been adorned with creepy decorations.

The changes – which can be seen in the images below – were captured by FNBR News.

Fortnite: Battle Royale News tweeted: “Epic is slowly updating the map with Halloween Decorations around the map, houses in Pleasant are being decorated and there’s ghosts hanging from streetlights in Tilted.”

It should also be noted that the Cube is on the move again, and has started to lift runes out of the ground.

The cube has also spread to underground areas of the map, while the floating island moves to new locations.

It’s thought the changes are leading to some big Halloween event, which would certainly tie into the ‘Darkness Rises’ theme of Season 6.

Season 6 has been an eventful one so far, despite only starting last week.

The Season 6 update added a host of new gameplay features, map locations and more.

Pets are one of the biggest new additions, as Epic Games adds new companions for players.

There are also multiple new map locations, including the aforementioned Floating Island, a number of Corrupted Areas, Corn Fields and a Haunted Castle.

Another useful feature is the ability to customise your controller bindings on consoles. Epic Games has also made changes to the way the storm circles work in Fortnite Battle Royale.

With the floating island on the move and runes being swallowed up, it looks like this is just the beginning of something big in Fortnite Battle Royale.
