Destiny 2 Weekly Reset time, Forsaken news, Shattered Throne for PS4 and Xbox One

The Destiny 2 Weekly Reset time is scheduled for tomorrow, meaning the end of the current Shattered Throne event.

Guardians will be losing the new endgame activity but have the bonus of keeping the recently added Breakthrough Crucible mode.

This will be the third reset since the Forsaken expansion went live and will mean that time is running out to get all your business finished.

Bungie will be resetting Destiny 2 on Tuesday, October 2, at around 6pm in the UK.

For players in the United States, it means a much earlier reset time of 10am PST and 1pm EST.

The Weekly Reset will remove the Shattered Throne event, which only recently made its debut.

It’s proven a popular new part of the Forsaken expansion but will only be available every three weeks.

Shattered Throne bridges the gap between Raid and Strike, offering puzzles to complete and bosses to fight in a brand new dungeon.

“The curse on the Dreaming City has grown to its most potent state. As the curse grows stronger, the world changes with it,” a message from Bungie explains.

“Some of you discovered a new portal and dove into the Shattered Throne to attack the heart of the curse.

“You still have until the reset to give it a try. It’s an endgame activity that puts your most powerful gear and skills to the test.

“If you are not quite ready yet, don’t worry, the Shattered Throne will return when the curse cycle is at its worst again in three weeks.

“That should give you some time to Power up and prepare to explore its depths.”

While the Shattered Throne will disappear, the new Crucible mode, named Breakthrough, will be sticking around.

And not only that, but it is also being added to the Competitive playlist starting with the weekly reset on October 2.

New maps have been crafted to complement this game mode, which is available to everyone to play.

DESTINY WEEKLY RESET

As usual, the weekly reset will affect various activities in the game, such as:

Progress and rewards connected to Destination Flashpoints, Raid Challenges, Raid Checkpoints, Nightfall Strike, Weekly Clan Engrams, Weekly Clan XP Caps, Eververse Bright Dust and Prismatic Matrix Selections.

There will also be hard resets made to the Spider’s Wanted Bounty line-up, and Xur will disappear again until Friday.

Bungie has also announced that they will be making changes to the next Iron Banner event when it is released.

This is based on fan feedback, with the development team hoping to get lower-powered players back in the game.

To do this, Bungie will be making changes, such as to reduce the completion values for several of the event bounties.

Currently, it’s very difficult for a lower-Power player to complete the bounties due to the gameplay disadvantages they experience.

The second change is that all bounties will now provide powerful gear, a big bonus for those hoping to score top loot.

So as a recap, the official Destiny 2 weekly reset affects Nightfall Strikes and the ongoing Raid, and also acts as the countdown to complete these tasks.

If you complete them before the reset, you will have to wait until the following Tuesday to start them again and collect new rewards.

This is also when a lot of the game’s milestones get refreshed, which means weekly challenges, destination Flashpoints, call to arms, clan XP and clan XP rewards.
