Pixel 2 prices slashed as Google Pixel 3 leaked AGAIN ahead of its official release

current Pixel 2 is currently a bit of bargain.

The flagship has just been cut in price with the drop making it one of the cheapest deals ever on this smartphone.

Currys and Carphone Warephone are both selling the Pixel 2 for just £449 SIM-free.

This is a saving of £180 off the usual price of this device with Google’s own store still selling the Pixel 2 for £629.

Along with the smaller Pixel 2, there’s also a very good deal from Currys on the larger Pixel 2 XL with this phone on sale for £549 – saving £250.

Once again, Google currently has the XL listed on its website for a price of £799.

These price cuts come as the US technology firm is set to release its new Pixel 3 in the coming weeks.

A major keynote is scheduled for October 9 and it looks almost certain that two new devices will be revealed to the world.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are both expected to include faster processors, improved cameras and inclusion of wireless charging.

The larger 3 XL may also arrive sporting a giant edge-to-edge screen which will cover almost the entire front of the display.

In fact, other than a small chin and notch, this could be one of the biggest screens ever to grace a Pixel.

Google has suffered an unprecedented amount of leaks in the run-up to this big launch and a recent set of images have just given fans another close-up look at these devices.

Published by Winfuture, the images claim to show the Pixel 3 and 3 XL in all of their glory.

There’s even a new desktop pattern with the number 3 emblazoned across it.

Along with showing off the new designs, the post also reveals that the Pixels could arrive in Black and White – which is similar to the current range.

The rear of the phones also look very similar with a two-tone appearance, fingerprint scanner and single rear camera.

Along with the new smartphones, accessory at its launch event.

Spotted by 9to5Google, it seems the Pixel 3 could come with its own charging stand.

This accessory has been rumoured for a while but an animation hidden within one of Google’s apps seems to give a closer look at what might be coming.

The short clip shows a phone stood upright with a charging icon at the bottom of the display along with what appears to be the phone being used a digital photo frame.

There’s also another animation which depicts a number of other features including alarms, notification and music,
