Pedro failed a late fitness test on his shoulder and misses out completely. Brazil international and all-round superstar Willian takes his place. Naturally.

Elsewhere Matteo Kovacic has recovered from a dead leg to line up alongside Jorginho and N’Golo Kante in midfield while Cesc Fabregas takes Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s place on the substitutes bench.

AFTERNOON

12:25: I’ll start today’s blog in typically British fashion by moaning about the weather. It’s rubbish. That’s the last I’ll mention the weather until Spring 2019. You’re welcome.

Anyway, we’re at the London Stadium today to see whether West Ham can use last weekend’s victory over Everton as a springboard for greater things.

Or, if Maurizio Sarri’s immense start to life at Chelsea will continue.

The Blues are seeking to reclaim the top spot poached by Liverpool yesterday and maintain their 100 percent start to the season.

Should be a good ‘un. Lets have the team news and line-ups!

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is hopeful Marko Arnautovic will be fit to face Chelsea. Arnautovic (knee) was substituted in the second half of West Ham’s 3-1 victory at Everton.

Javier Hernandez (flu) is a doubt, while Jack Wilshere (ankle) is sidelined after surgery. Andy Carroll, Manuel Lanzini and Winston Reid remain long-term absentees.

Pedro is a major doubt for Chelsea after he sustained a shoulder injury in Thursday night’s Europa League win at PAOK. Eden Hazard and David Luiz are expected to return against the Hammers, while Mateo Kovacic has a minor injury and may miss out again.
