Luke Campbell vs Yvan Mendy – Preview

Luke Campbell can get his revenge on Yvan Mendy tonight as he pushes for a world title shot.

The pair clash in a final eliminator for the WBC lightweight strap nearly three years on from Mendy’s points triumph over the then-unbeaten British southpaw.

Campbell reckons he’s improved since the defeat, but Mendy boasts a respectable record with just four professional defeats.

20:35: The decision was unanimous with scores of 116-110, 114-112 and 114-113.

Okolie WINS on points

20:35: Not a fight that will love long in the memory – it was grim from start to finish – but Okolie was the better fighter throughout.

Lawrence Okolie vs Matty Askin

20:25: This is going to the judges, surely. I’ll be flabbergasted if we see a KO now. They are running on empty as we enter the closing stages of this clash.

20:20: Both fighters tiring badly. There’s a fair bit of wrestling and flailing going on. About to enter round 10.

20:10: Okolie landed a MASSIVE shot to the jaw in round seven. He’s really upped the tempo. Be interesting to see if Askin can recover.

20:05: Now in round seven, this could go the distance but Okolie is edging it on my scorecard…

20:00: This is a physical battle – a real slog for four rounds – but Okolie is still in it and is acquitting himself well.

19:55: Plenty of noise from the crowd as AJ flashes up on the big screen.

19:50: Not vintage from Okolie in these first two rounds, but a composed and disciplined start.

19:40: And we’re under away in an intruiging crusierweight clash…

Matty Askin vs Lawrence Okolie – Preview

Lawrence Okolie is one of boxing’s rising stars.

He’s gunning for the cruiserweight title in just his 10th professional fight.

However, the 2016 Olympian has only fought beyond six rounds once since quitting the amateur ranks.

British champion Matty Askin, 29, is a seasoned pro with an impressive record who will be desperate to keep hold of his coveted belt.

19:30: Lawrence Okolie vs Matty Askin is up next at Wembley.

Price explains all after defeat

19:20: “I’ve had a slight tear in the bicep the last few weeks,” he explained.

“We had to take the fight, and take a chance.

“At the end of the fourth round, it was barely movable.

“It’s really frustrating. I would love the opportunity to fight him again with the right preparation.”

Price Loses

19:15: Sad for Price who surrenders in the fourth round. Referee Howard Foster is called over by Price’s team in the corner and waves it off. Strange finale.

Sergey Kuzmin vs David Price  FIGHT ODDS from Paddy Power:

18:55: Kuzmin 1/6 Draw 40/1 Price 7/2

Sergey Kuzmin vs David Price – Preview

18:45: Likeable Liverpudlian David Price is back in action but faces another tough test against a powerful Russian boxer.

Price was knocked out by Povetkin in his last outing but is looking to get back on track at Wembley tonight.

Sergey Kuzmin has only been involved in 13 professional fights.

However, the 31-year-old ace had a stellar record at amateur level.

18:30: Tributes being paid to the legendary Enzo Calzaghe who passed away earlier this week.

18:30:  Shakhram Giyasov vs Julio Laguna

Giyasov gets the win by knockout in round four.

A barrage of shots left Laguna disorientated and a hefty right hook sent him stumbling backwards.
