But let’s not forget the most famous comedy duo from the black and white period – Laurel and Hardy.

Now Steve Coogan and John C Reilly star as the pair in Stan & Ollie, a biographical film based on their lives.

Stan & Ollie is released in UK cinemas on January 11, 2019.
