Pixel 3 UK release date REVEALED and Google fans have not got long to wait

After months of rumours, endless leaks and plenty of speculation we finally know when will unveil its new Pixel 3 smartphone.

The US technology giant has just sent out invites to media with an event scheduled for Tuesday, October 9.

Although there’s no mention of the Pixel 3 on the message, this is almost certain to be the Google’s platform to announce their latest and greatest smartphones.

The keynote will take place in New York with things kicking off at 11am local time or 4pm BST.

Although this is when we’ll officially find out all about the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL we already have a very good idea about what’s in store.

The most exciting device is likely to be the XL which looks set to feature a giant edge-to-edge display and small notch at the top of the phone.

An update single rear camera could arrive on both devices along with a faster processor, more memory and the inclusion of wireless charging.

A new dual front-facing camera looks likely and could bring facial recognition along with the ability to add DSLR-style depth of field to your selfies.

One final good piece of news may come on price

A recent leak has insisted the smaller Pixel 3 will start at $649 (£504.74) and the larger Pixel 3 XL will come in at $749 (£582.51).

If true, this means the Pixel 3 could cost less than its predecessors.

Alongside this new smartphone, we can probably expect plenty of other hardware announcements from Google.

Last year the firm revealed its new Pixelbook laptop and two smart speakers including the Google Home Mini and Google Home Max.

An update to the standard Google Home speaker could come this year as well as a new laptop and upgraded Pixel Bud headphones.

We’ll find out more on October 9 and Express.co.uk will bring you all the news live as it happens.
