WWE news: When could Shawn Michaels return from retirement? Will he face Undertaker again?

According to Wrestling Inc, the publisher and editor of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Dave Meltzer claims there is an internal plan to have Michaels return for one more match on November 2 at WWE’s next event in Saudi Arabia.

However, the four-time world champion won’t be back for a Singles Match but could team up with Triple H against Undertaker and a partner of his choice.

The Heartbreak Kid returned to RAW last Monday to discuss the upcoming match between The Deadman and his former D-Generation X ally Triple H ahead of WWE Super Show-Down.

The two WWE legends are set to face off for the last time ever on October 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia and HBK predicts The Game will finally overcome The Phenom because he has a lot more left in the tank.

Taker took exception to his prediction and made a shocking return in front of a stunned audience and accused him of still feeling bitter after being forced to retire at WrestleMania 26.

Michaels’ career ended in 2010 after failing to beat Undertaker for the second consecutive time at WrestleMania and insists he stayed retired out of respect.

The Showstopper said: “Is that what you think? Is that what you think this is about?

“Let me make something perfectly clear to you, I am a man of my word. Somebody had to restore faith in the system. Somebody had to stand and be committed to the words he spoke.

“Now I know everybody else in this line of work can say whatever they want and in six weeks, six months, six years turn round on a dime and go back on their word.

“But guess who doesn’t do that, me. I have stayed away and stayed true to my retirement because I am a man of my word.

“Because I am a man of honour, a man of integrity. I have stayed away and stayed retired out of respect for the system, out of respect for them and, most importantly, I stayed retired out of respect for you.

“And every time I step into an arena I hear that. I hear the chant of ‘One More Match’.

“Year after year, for nearly a decade, one more match. Half that locker room, every WrestleMania, beaten down my door, begging for a dream match with HBK, every year turning down literally millions and millions of dollars for one more match.

“I stayed retired out of respect for The Undertaker.”

Undertaker wasn’t convinced and claimed Michaels has stayed retired because he is afraid to get back in the ring with him.

The ex-WWE Champion seemed to be goading HBK on as he threatened to destroy him if he ever comes out of retirement.

The Demond of Death Valley replied: “Respect? Is that what you’re saying? Is it respect or is it fear?

“Because if you had ever chosen to come out of retirement there would’ve been only one person that you’d come for. Me.

“And make no mistake about it, I would put you down all over again.

“You know it, I know it, they know it, and there’s one other thing you know. In Melbourne, Australia I’m gonna put your buddy Triple H down again.”

Michaels confirmed he will attend WWE Super Show-down and rumours suggest he could become part of the match as the Special Guest Referee.
