
Shamrock joined WWE in 1997 to referee the legendary Submission Match between Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 13 but left two years later.
The World’s Most Dangerous Man won the Intercontinental Championship, the WWE Tag Team Championship with Big Boss Man and also became King of the Ring in 1998 by beating The Rock.
However, the UFC Hall of Famer never won the world title and seems keen for another WWE run to achieve that goal.
Shamrock told Adam’s Apple: “WWE is something I’m looking at, and definitely have been throwing little feelers out there to get an opportunity.
“Because I have achieved everything that I have set out to do in every organisation except the WWE. I didn’t get the world title. I got everything else but that.

“There is some unfinished business there, so I’ve always kind of been throwing feelers out there, saying, listen, I’d like to go back and get a run at the title.
“But, no response up to this point. But we’ll see what happens.”
Shamrock enjoyed tremendous success in MMA as he beat the likes of Dan Severn as well as Bas Rutten and was the inaugural UFC Superfight Champion.
His impressive accolades landed him in the UFC Hall Fame in 2003 where he is placed alongside the likes of Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell and Ronda Rousey, who is now a WWE superstar.
Rousey joined Vince McMahon’s promotion last January and put together one of the greatest ever in-ring debuts at WrestleMania 34 five months ago.
The inaugural UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion teamed up with fellow Olympian Kurt Angle and defeated Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in a Mixed Tag Team Match.
Four months later The Baddest Woman on the Planet destroyed Alexa Bliss and became the first ever female athlete to become champion in WWE and UFC as she was crowned RAW Women’s Champion.
Brock Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012 after an impressive stint at Dana White’s promotion where became UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Lesnar now looks set to return to the Octagon to take on Daniel Cormier at some point next year for the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
Other MMA stars have also moved to WWE like Bobby Lashley, Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke.
