The Twitch stream showcasing the Fortnite High Stakes gameplay will start at 9am eastern time today and 2am BST on Saturday September 1.

It remains to be seen whether the Fortnite High Stakes event will be linked to the ongoing Fortnite cube.

The Fortnite cube appeared on the Battle Royale map last Friday and has since been moving a step every one hour and 43 minutes.

At the time of writing the Fortnite cube can be found on square D8 in the Battle Royale map.

On Wednesday the Fortnite cube left a mysterious purple rune burnt into the ground after moving.

It’s expected to do this six more times before finally activating.

Once it activates the Fortnite cube is expected to bring about major map changes, with one of those the addition of the rumoured Crazy Castle point of interest.
