When it comes to hunting down an Example Resume you probably will start to feel a little bit overwhelmed when you just type in those two words into one of the search engines and, see what all you get back. Yes there are thousands of resumes out there available online for FREE! This can be a problem if your looking to customize your current resume or, start from scratch and create your own Example Resume. I really like About.com’s resume page! It has a few guides and How To’s along with many examples of resume styles, cover letters and, a whole load of additional information that makes it one of my favorite “one stop shops” for resume information on the Internet.So after you get to About.com start browsing the different resume formats and examples that are available to you. Don’t spend a whole lot of time reading the examples word for word, just skim. Try to notice more of the format of a particular resume rather than the content. As you do this either bookmark or, cut and paste the resumes that most appeal to you. Go with your instinct this is the best approach.
Try and narrow down the formats to about 3 or 4 at the most. If you would like to kill 2 birds with one stone you can also browse cover letter formats at the same time and do the same process. OK, so now you have 3 or 4 formats that you like it is going to be with these that we are going to contract our Example Resume which will in turn serve ad the format for your resume that you will soon create.
With any resume format you should always include your name, address, and phone number at the top center of the page. Follow this up by a Summery or Objective statement. From there you can add the rest of the sections as you see fit. Some of these areas will include your past work history, skills, interests, accomplishments, awards, degrees, and anything else that you can attribute as a positive contribution to your career. Once you have your format nailed down it’s just a matter of plugging in the necessary personal information and you’ll be ready to go with your very own customized Example Resume!
