Nation’s top student loan watchdog resign, accuses Trump admin of betraying borrowers

In a scathing letter released Monday, Seth Frotman said under President Trump, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau “has abandoned the very consumers it is tasked by Congress with protecting, ” and instead choosing to “serve the wishes of the most powerful financial companies in America.”
