WWE news: Undertaker set for HUGE Smackdown return after SummerSlam

Undertaker is set to face legendary rival Triple H for the last time ever at Super Show-Down on October 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia after missing SummerSlam two weeks ago.

However, Taker will appear on WWE TV again after his final clash with The Game as he will be part of Smackdown’s landmark episode, according to WWE.com.

The seven-time world champion is scheduled to appear alongside some of the blue brand’s biggest superstars.

That includes the likes of WWE Champion AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan, US Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, The Miz, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Carmella, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Smackdown Tag Team Champions The New Day.

Undertaker joined Smackdown in 2003 and never returned to RAW as a full-time WWE performer.

The ex-WWE Champion got into some intense rivalries against the likes of Orton, Kane, Edge, Big Show and many more other legends.

The Deadman also became World Heavyweight Champion three times during his stay at the blue brand as he beat Batista, Edge and CM Punk.

The Phenom hinted at retirement last year at WrestleMania 33 after losing an intense battle to Roman Reigns as he broke character after the bout and laid down his signature black jacket, hat and gloves in the middle of the ring before saluting the crowd.

However, The Demon of Death Valley returned for an impromptu bout against John Cena at WrestleMania 34 and destroyed the 16-time world champion with just one Chokeslam and a Tombstone Piledriver.

The WWE legend proved that he wasn’t done with professional wrestling as he then came back for a Casket Match against Rusev at the Greatest Royal Rumble shortly after Mania.

He then teamed up with Reigns as well as Braun Strowman at a live event in Madison Square Garden last month and beat Kevin Owens, Elias as well as Constable Baron Corbin.

Rumours suggested he would reignite his feud with Cena and face him at SummerSlam two weeks ago at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

However, the two legends didn’t compete at WWE’s biggest Pay-Per-View event of the summer as Taker now works on a part-time basis with the company and The Leader of the Cenation is building a career in Hollywood.

The Champ has taken part in various blockbuster hits like Trainwreck, Blockers and Daddy’s Home 2.

He has also worked with some of the biggest names in the industry like Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell and Amy Shumer.

The ex-WWE Champion is now set to co-star with legendary martial artist Jackie Chan on Project X and will also star in The Janson Directive which will be directed by his former WWE rival Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
