Pokemon Go news: Final Celebi quest rewards and research tasks revealed

It’s taken a while, but Trainers are finally finishing their Celebi Quests and research tasks.

Having launched last week, Pokemon Go fans have been busy completing the eight steps that bring the best rewards.

Today has seen many players sharing what the final research tasks are, and more importantly, what rewards are waiting for you at the end.

It was expected that Celebi would be part of step seven of the quest, which has now been confirmed.

But we now know what comes after this step, and what is needed to complete step eight of the research tasks.

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

The mythical Celebi appears after completing the step seven tasks, which includes catching 40 Grass- or Psychic-type Pokemon, earn a Gold Johto medal and make an excellent curveball throw.

Completing all these tasks also provides you with around 12,000EXP, making it a juicy option just for that.

After completing these tasks, the Celebi encounter begins, and it’s crucial to catch it to move onto step eight.

The official rewards for step seven are as follows: Celebi encounter, one TM, and 10 Silver Pinap Berries.

The final task in step eight is catching Celebi, so if this has been done, you should receive another XP drop, as well as 5500 stardust, a super incubator and 20 Celebi Candy.

It certainly proves pretty handy that the final stage is auto-completed when you reach it, meaning fans just have to click to grab their rewards.

It’s unclear just how long this special research will remain open to completion and what might follow it.

Some Trainers have reported the Celebi Quest autocompleting, even if you fail to catch the mythical Pokemon.

While we don’t know what new special research quests will follow Celebi, Niantic has announced the field research rewards for September.

September’s Field Research tasks have been given a fire theme by the new Legendary Entei inclusion, so expect the challenges to be fixed around Johto types.

August’s focused on Electric-type Pokemon such as Pikachu, Electrike and Mareep.

So any Trainers who manage to collect seven Field Research stamps during next month will be rewarded with a Legendary breakthrough.

The reward for seven stamps in September is an encounter with Legendary Pokemon Entei.

This follows on from Raikou encounters in August, which will remain available until the end of the month.

“Trainers, September is heating up with Field Research tasks focusing on Fire-type Pokémon!”

“Collect enough stamps during September to earn a Research Breakthrough and an opportunity to catch the Legendary Pokémon Entei!” reads a Niantic tweet.

According to the latest information found by fans, August’s research stamps carry over into the new month, which means you’ll encounter Entei sooner if you have existing stamps.

However, some Trainers have flagged that they have received last month’s breakthrough reward by doing this.
