Fortnite Save the World has a dedicated fanbase that’s been suffering from some pretty big bugs of late.
These have been flagged to Epic Games, who say they are looking to fix the performance problems on each platform as soon as possible.
There’s still a healthy amount of players in-game, but fixing these issues may become a big priority for Epic Games in the near future.
That is if the most recent reports of Save the World going free-to-play in the coming weeks is to be believed.
Fortnite Save the World free codes have become sought-after items, and are something that will be available to all later this year.

Alleged leaks have appeared online that claim season 5 will see STW follow Battle Royale in adopting the FTP model.
This would lead to a huge surge in player numbers, especially when you consider that STW can be used to farm V-Bucks.
These V-Bucks can be used in both versions of the game, making it possible to unlock new skins from the Fortnite item Shop.
STW fans aren’t looking to see more farmers arrive, but it’s fair to say that there would be plenty of genuine interest from Fortnite fans to try the mode as well.
Rumours appeared online earlier this year that season 5 may see STW go FTP, which has recently been repeated.
More information is expected to be shared before the start of September, although like all rumours, they should be taken with a big pinch of salt.
Epic Games have promised to take Save the World FTP in 2018, but have yet to provide a plan on when they intend to do it.
And with the current problem affecting the game, they will certainly need to fix the current performance issues before doing so.
Season 6 of Fortnite Battle Royale is expected to start around September 20, so there’s a clear timeline for when these changes need to happen.
And Epic Games have already started the new season event, by releasing a mysterious cube into Battle Royale.
The cube is covered in symbols and when players stand by it fills their shield up – but if they touch it, the cube sends them flying.
The appearance of the purple cube also saw the Rift that has been in the Fortnite Battle Royale sky since the rocket launch finally close up.
The mysterious cube event occurred following the release of Fortnite update 5.30 on Thursday and just a few weeks ahead of the start of Fortnite season 6.
It’s unclear what the cube could be used for, or what it will do to the map.
There has even been speculation that it could be connected to Save the World going free-to-play.
Using Fortnite Battle Royale to promote Save the World would undoubtedly help get the word out.
And perhaps using the cube someway to mix up the gameplay in BR could help give fans a taste of what STW is like.
Fans will need to keep an eye on Fortnite’s official feed to find out what might be coming next to the game on all platforms.
