Now all the excitement is starting to die down, Marvel fans have their eyes firmly fixed on the future.
All the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies for 2018 have busted their blocks and triumphed at the global box office and Infinity War home entertainment packages have been released in the US and the DVD and Blu-ray arrive in the UK on September 3.
The next big news will be the trailers for Captain Marvel and the Infinity War sequel as well as the desperately-awaited reveal of the Avengers 4 title.
But which will come first and when?
Most commentatiors now agree that the Captain Marvel trailer will be the first to arrive.

Marvel always allow time for each individual property to breathe when promo materials are released so fans will have to wait a while longer for any Avengers 4 news.
Three major reasons indicate exactly which month it will all arrive.
First up in October is expected to be the Ant-Man and the Wap home entertainment packages.
Secondly, when Feige was asked by Collider about the Avengers 4 title reveal he said: “That’ll be after the Captain Marvel teaser probably, announcing that title. It’ll be towards the end of the year with however we launch that film.”
This confirms that the title will be released at the same time as the first teaser, presumably as the climactic end to whatever first footage is shown.
But which month “at the end of the year” exactly?

Marvel favours repeating successful release date patterns for trailers and the actual movies themselves.
MCU Cosmic said: “The first teaser trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was released on November 29, 2017. With Avengers 4 releasing the same time of the year that Infinity War did, it’s very likely that we’ll see the first teaser for the second movie around the same time this year… give or take a week either way.”
Unless, of course, Tom Holland manages to leak anything earlier…
