Meghan Markle has proved impossibly photogenic in every photograph taken of her since she became a royal.
Used to the glare of the cameras thanks to a previous acting career, it would seem Meghan has a knack of showing off her beautiful features.
However, it seems there is more to it and it is actually the influence of Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, which helps her look so good in photographs.
While Meghan and her father Thomas, a former lighting director, are currently not speaking to one another, according to reports, they were much closer when Meghan was a child.
In an interview with ELLE in 2016, Meghan described what her father had “taught” her in the past – including how to look good on camera.

She said: “He taught me to write thank you notes, to always arrive early, to drink Arnold Palmers [a non-alcoholic cocktail of lemonade and iced tea], to find my light when I’m on camera…and beyond.”
Meghan also opened up in the same interview on how Thomas has “invested” in her acting career when she was younger.
She said: “The blood, sweat and tears this man (who came from so little in a small town in Pennsylvania, where Christmas stockings were filled with oranges, and dinners were potatoes and spam) invested in my future so that I could grow up and have so much.
“He put gas in my car when I went from audition to audition trying to make it as an actress.
“He is the person who believed in this grand dream of mine well before I could even see it as a possibility.”
This is not the only evidence of Meghan’s formerly close relationship with her father.
In 2016, she posted a gushing Instagram post on Father’s Day, dedicated to Thomas.
It featured a baby photo of Meghan with her father. The caption read: ““Happy Father’s Day, daddy. I’m still your buckaroo, and to this day your hugs are still the very best in the whole wide world.”
However, Meghan’s relationship with her father has taken a turn for the worse in the past year – as they have reportedly not spoken since just after her wedding.
Recently, a close friend revealed the reason Meghan will not speak to her father Thomas Markle.
“The only reason Meghan hasn’t spoken to her father yet is because she’s yet to hear from him in a respectful manner,” an anonymous source, believed to be a close friend of Meghan’s, told the press.
The friend added: “Thomas is speaking to the press more than he’s reached out and spoken to his own daughter.”
Meghan and Thomas are believed to be on bad terms as a result of events surrounding the royal wedding.
Shortly before the wedding, the retired lighting director – who was due to walk his daughter down the aisle – was discovered to have staged pictures for the paparazzi, accepting money for the photos which were then published.
Days after the discovery, Thomas claimed he suffered from a heart attack which prevented him from attending the royal wedding.
