Ant-Man and The Wasp streaming: How to watch the full movie online – Is it legal?

Ant-Man and the Wasp only arrived in cinemas in the UK on August 2.

And fans are already searching for ways to watch Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne take on their newest enemy in the sequel.

Given the Ant-Man sequel had its American release back in July, the possibility of it arriving on a streaming service is not wholly implausible.

Marvel‘s longtime lucrative deal with Netflix is swiftly coming to an end, making some fans nervous about where they’ll be able to stream their favourite heroes on demand in the future.

Can you watch the full movie online and is it legal?

No, the movie is not available online to watch right now in any legal capacity.

Despite Disney’s move towards their own streaming service, Ant-Man and the Wasp will eventually find its way to Netflix – as is Marvel tradition.

This means fans will eventually be able to legally stream the Ant-Man sequel to their heart’s content, provided they have a Netflix subscription.

The average time between a Marvel movie cinema release date and its subsequent arrival on Netflix is between eight and nine months.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP AGE RATING: HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO WATCH?

There is no reason to think Ant-Man and the Wasp will break from this pattern.

So it is likely Ant-Man and the Wasp will find a home on Netflix sometime between March and April 2019 in America, and April and May 2019 in the UK.

With movies and TV series from all over the world housed on the site, Netflix is perhaps the most ubiquitous streaming platform ever.

Amazon Prime comes in a close second but Marvel has movies have long lived on Netflix.

But Disney’s plans to launch its own on-demand video streaming service has caused consternation for some Marel fans – especially those in the United Kingdom.

Examining the proposed inner workings of the still unnamed Disney streaming service was The New York Times.

They reported: “Starting with Captain Marvel in March [2019], all of the films that Walt Disney Studios releases in theatres will subsequently flow to the Disney streaming platform instead of to Netflix.”

Additionally, “no current plans” to move Marvel-themed television shows off Netflix exist, according to a Disney spokeswoman.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP RUN TIME: HOW LONG IS ANT-MAN SEQUEL?

Rumblings about the Disney streaming service have been going for months, with speculation turning to confirmation.

Disney has not released any salient details like price points or international licensing.

For now, these details remain of little consequence – at least, as far as Ant-Man and the Wasp is concerned.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is now playing in cinemas.
