In Zuma’s Revenge, all you have to do is connect 3 or more colored ball of the same type and eventually clear the whole board game. Sounds easy? Well that goes with the saying, easier said than done. Zuma’s Revenge adds a few twists in making this game much more interesting than the other games of its genre.
PopCap made sure that anyone who plays Zuma’s revenge will have fun playing it. How often does a frog become a hero? Well, aside from being kissed by a princess every now and then. They need to clear 10 stages at a time then fight the boss of that island. Once they defeated that boss, they can advance to the next island and repeat the same process (that is if they can do that).
Each stage is much more challenging than the previous one. You need to make as few mistakes as possible. If possible, don’t make any mistakes at all. Here’s a tip to win each stage “don’t just randomly shoot the ball anywhere you please”. Accuracy plays a vital role in this game. You need to make sure that the ball you are about to fire will land exactly where you want it to land.
Helping you to conquer these levels are the power-ups. You could identify them as glowing colored balls. Just make sure to connect at least 3 colors of the same kind to activate their effects. They make the levels easier to conquer. Once the balls reach the skull shaped keyhole the game will end with your frog being eaten.
Strategically placing your balls helps a lot in finishing this game. Shoot as fast and as accurate as possible. The balls won’t wait for you before they move. The longer it takes for you to fire, the faster those balls will reach the keyhole.
There are a total of 6 bosses within the 60 levels that you need to conquer. Finishing the adventure will unlock two other game modes. These modes are “Iron Frog Gauntlet” and “Heroic Frog Mode.”
Iron frog mode is considered as the hardest mode in the game. It has 10 levels and there is no room for mistakes. Heroic Frog mode on the other hand will look familiar. Why? It is more or less the same levels that you had played on the adventure mode only harder. The ball movements are faster and like Heroic Frog mode, you cannot afford to make any mistakes.
Zuma’s revenge is a must have for casual gamers. Not only does it offer fun and enjoyment, it is also in the pinnacle of its genre. You can’t have anything better than that.
