WWE SummerSlam: Ronda Rousey DESTROYS Alexa Bliss and wins RAW Women’s Championship

Rousey made headlines around the world when she left UFC for Vince McMahon’s promotion in January and debuted as a WWE superstar at the Royal Rumble where she put the entire locker room on notice.

It was only a matter of time until the UFC legend became champion in WWE and she finally won the belt at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion dominated the match against Bliss as she delivered a number of devastating punches, kicks and modified Samoan Drops.

The Goddess failed to build up any offence against the MMA hero and struggled throughout the bout.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet tortured the champion’s left arm during the closing moments and then locked in the Armbar which made Bliss tap out in just a few seconds.

Rousey celebrated her triumph with Natalya, the Bella Twins and her husband after the match and she will now be going to WWE’s first ever all-women’s Pay-Per-view event Evolution as the RAW Women’s Champion.

‘Rowdy’ proved she is championship material at WrestleMania 34 in her in-ring debut where she teamed up with Kurt Angle and beat Stephanie McMahon as well as Kurt Angle.

The UFC great then faced Nia Jax for the RAW Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank and came close to making her tap out to the Armbar.

However, Bliss interfered and caused a disqualification before cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Jax to regain the title.

That sparked an intense rivalry that saw Rousey being slapped with a 30-day suspension after she attacked RAW General Manager Kurt Angle who tried to stop her from powerbombing Bliss through a wooden table.

After the judoka’s suspension expired she beat Alicia Fox in her first ever match on RAW and proved that she is ready for her title match ahead of SummerSlam.

Rousey’s schedule is unknown but her feud with Bliss may continue and we could therefore see the RAW superstars facing off again at Hell in a Cell on September 16 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
