There’s a hugely exciting month ahead for the Apple faithful as US technology firm readies itself for another big iPhone launch.
This year could see Apple unveiling three new smartphones which could suit all tastes and budgets.
Rumours suggest that the current iPhone X will get a big refresh with a faster processor, more memory and improved facial recognition technology.
Alongside this rebooted phone, Apple may also launch two new devices with a larger X Plus and lower-priced model both expected.
The bigger device could get a giant 6.5-inch OLED display which will cover almost the entire front of the phone.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.
If that sounds like it’s going to be too much to handle then the new ‘budget’ iPhone may be the device to watch out for.
Rumours claim Apple is working on an all-screen phone that will land in pockets with a much more affordable price.
The cost-cutting will come by only including an LCD display and single rear camera.
Other new features arriving in September could include more colour options and a fast charger supplied in the box which will boost the smartphone’s battery in minutes.
So, all looks exciting for lovers of the iPhone but, if you’re desperately waiting for an upgrade when will Apple unveil these new gadgets?
Express.co.uk has looked back at when Apple has released the past six iPhones to try and reveal when this next generation could get its official unveiling.
Over the past few years, Apple has always chosen an early September launch and the iPhone X 2018 could be no different.
Here’s when previous iPhones were unveiled.
iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X – September 12th
iPhone 7 and 7 Plus – September 7th 2016
iPhone 6s and 6s Plus- September 9th 2015
iPhone 6 and Plus- September 9th 2014
iPhone 5s – September 10th 2013
iPhone 5 – September 12th 2012
Using this data we are predicting two possible dates for a launch.
Firstly Apple could follow Samsung and choose to show their new iPhones to the world a little earlier than usual.
This would mean a possible unveiling would take place on Tuesday, September 4.
We think that is probably a little too soon to make the announcement especially as the IFA technology show is happening just a few days earlier.
This leaves one other date for the big keynote with Wednesday, September 12 looking most likely.
With the US firm now using the specially built Steve Jobs theatre to announce their new products they now have more flexibility as to when they announce what’s coming next.
This means we’re unlikely to find out an official launch date until much sooner to the big reveal.
Express.co.uk will bring you full news of the 2018 iPhone keynote as soon as we find out more.
