The La Liga season gets underway this weekend as Barcelona face their first clash as current champions.
The Spanish club faces Alaves at the Camp Nou with Ernesto Valverde’s side expected to get off to a winning start.
Alaves finished last year’s league in 14th place some 46 points behind the home side.
Barcelona had a run of good results in their pre-season friendlies and it seems there will be more of these early games in the future.
La Liga’s organising body announced on Thursday that it plans to hold regular season Spanish top flight games in the United States in the future.
