Bringing some of the best competitive players from around the globe, the World Cup pitches nations against each other to bring home World Glory.
South Korea will be hoping to bring home a second title trophy and prove to fans they are the ultimate gaming nation.

When is the Overwatch World Cup?
The Overwatch World Cup first group stage kicked off late last night.

The first stage is taking place in Incheon, in South Korea.
Six of the 24 national teams competed for the opening games, including the reigning champions South Korea.
UK fans were left staying up into the small hours of the morning, as Russia’s opening game against Hong Kong started at 4am BST.
For American audiences, fans had a slightly easier hour of 11am ET.
The first Group stage runs from August 16 through to August 19 as the opening stage of the tournament begins.
Fans should note this is just the first group stage, as teams attempt to qualify for the full tournament.
