Fortnite Galaxy: How do you get the Fortnite Galaxy skin? Is it only on Samsung Galaxy?

Galaxy skin is one of the new cosmetics coming to Epic Games’s hit Battle Royale shooter.

The Fortnite Galaxy skin leaked earlier this week ahead of it officially getting announced on Thursday.

Dataminers found the Fortnite Galaxy skin in the game files for Fortnite update 5.2 which became available to download on Tuesday.

It later emerged that the Fortnite Galaxy skin could not be obtained from the item shop.

This, coupled with the the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 launching a few days after update 5.2, led fans to thinking the two were tied together.

And on Thursday when the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was unveiled at an Unpacked event in Brooklyn, New York all became clear.

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney took to the stage during the Note 9 unveiling to announce Fortnite Android – with the beta coming to Samsung Galaxy first.

It was also revealed that those who buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the Samsung Tab S4 will be able to download the Galaxy skin for free.

The Note 9 starts at £899 while the Tab S4 is priced from £599.

Giving these two devices exclusive access to the Galaxy skin means that it is set to become one of the rarest skins around in Fortnite Battle Royale.

The Samsung website said they will start shipping pre-orders for the Tab S4 on August 23 2018.

While the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is out a day later. So you can expect to see the Galaxy skin being used in-game around then.

The Fortnite Android beta is running right now with Samsung devices the first to get it.

Here are the Samsung devices that can run Fortnite Android: Galaxy Note9, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Tab S4.
