Chelsea deal agreed

Chelsea have a deal in place to sign Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The shot-stopper has emerged as Chelsea’s top target to replace Thibaut Courtois, who wants to join Real Madrid.

Courtois has gone AWOL in the hope of securing a move to Real, but Chelsea need a replacement.

And Marca claim the Blues have got their man.

According to the report, Chelsea will announce Arrizabalaga’s signing on Wednesday.

They will pay the £71m (€80m) release clause in his Bilbao contract.

Ironically, it was Real who almost signed Arrizabalaga for £17.5m in January – but the club backed out of a deal in order to pursue Courtois.

Marca claim Arrizabalaga could be training with the Chelsea squad by Thursday and may make his debut against Huddersfield on Saturday.

Another Chelsea agreement

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are said to have agreed to let Mateo Kovacic leave for Chelsea on loan.

Kovacic is keen to quit the Bernabeu this summer but faces a race against time to join Chelsea before the Thursday transfer deadline.

El Pais claim Real have succumbed to Kovacic’s request to join the Blues.

Negotiations between the two clubs are yet to take place, however.

Were Kovacic to arrive at Chelsea is could aid Tiemoue Bakayoko’s transfer away from the club.

The midfielder is wanted at AC Milan.

Barcelona deal close

Barcelona could be about to sign former Real Madrid youth star Dani Parejo.

Barcelona want to bring Paul Pogba to the club this summer but a deal with Manchester United is proving difficult.

And the La Liga giants are supposedly lining up a deal for Parejo instead.

SPORT claim the Valencia midfielder, 29, has checked into a hotel close to the Nou Camp.

They speculate that it is more than just coincidence and Barca could be looking to sign Parejo before the La Liga season starts.

Milan and Chelsea talks

Chelsea are in talks with Milan over a loan move for Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The midfielder cost Chelsea £40m last summer but has struggled to settle in west London.

He failed to make an impact under former manager Antonio Conte and appears to have left current boss Maurizio Sarri wanting.

Milan are keen to get a deal done and Sky Sport Italia claim negotiations are at an advanced stage.

The San Siro giants want to secure a loan move for Bakayoko, with the option to buy at the end of the season.

Mina choice

Yerry Mina will choose between Manchester United and Everton tonight.

Mina is wanted by both Premier League clubs, who have agreed fees of around £30m with Barcelona.

The defender is now faced with a choice of which club he wants to join.

That is according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, who claim Mina must decide by Wednesday morning where his future lies.

United can offer Champions League football – something Everton cannot.

But the Red Devils are also chasing other centre-back targets.

Dembele to Arsenal

Arsenal have a plan to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona this summer.

And the deal should not cost them too much money.

Dembele only joined Barcelona from Dortmund last year in a deal worth around £138m.

But he could be sent out on loan and Arsenal are eyeing a season-long deal for the player.

That is according to Mundo Deportivo, who claim Arsenal are willing to pay a £9m loan fee for the forward.

They would then have the option to sign him permanently for £89m in the summer.

Varane to Man Utd blocked

Manchester United blocked Jose Mourinho’s hopes of signing Raphael Varane this summer.

That is according to the MEN.

Mourinho is desperate for a centre-back with just three days of the transfer window remaining.

Real Madrid star Varane was his top target, the report claims, but United’s board found it impossible to strike a deal.

Moves for Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweireld or Jerome Boateng could happen before Thursday’s deadline though.

Lopetegui on Kovacic

Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui says Mateo Kovacic is happy at the club despite reports claiming he is on the verge of joining Chelsea.

There were suggestions Kovacic skipped training to go on strike but Real boss Lopetegui says the 24-year-old and his team-mate Luka Modric are happy at the Bernabeu.

He said: “The level of excitement is as high as it can be, as it is with most of the players. My understanding is that both are happy to be here.

“The president [Florentino Perez] was clear and unequivocal.

“We’re in no doubt at all that Modric is going to continue playing for us just as he has been.”

“I’ve not seen that Kovacic gone on strike,” Lopetegui added.

“He trained normally. Mateo is a member of the squad, and I am delighted with him.”

Burnley fee agreed

Burnley have agreed a fee to sign Matej Vydra from Derby.

Vydra has already had talks with Leeds United this summer but rejected their offer after an £11m transfer fee was reached.

Burnley have offered around the same price for the striker, who was top scorer in the Championship last season.

The Clarets are making a late push in the transfer market with Ben Gibson signing from Middlesbrough.

Joe Hart and Jay Rodriguez could also follow.

Hart on City

Joe Hart has completed his move from Manchester City to Burnley, signing a two-year deal with the Clarets with the option of a further year.

Burnley, who already have Tom Heaton and Nick Pope on their books, have paid around £3.5million plus add-ons for Hart.

Speaking about his time with City, Hart said: “It’s been a fantastic experience, I’ve grown a lot. I came here at 19 and I’m going to leave at 31 so it’s been a long time and lot of things have happened – family, friends and a lot of football!

“I certainly feel a lot of love and appreciation. I’ve always enjoyed the Man City fans, I came here as a Shrewsbury Town player – a kid from Shrewsbury.

“It was the pinnacle for me to be at this club before they were challenging for the title, and I was welcomed from day one. I think they saw in me someone who was just going to try his best.

“I wouldn’t have been able to do the things I’ve done if I wasn’t embraced or happy – so I’m happy to have given the fans some great memories and hopefully I’ll be thought of well.”

Barca must sell Dembele for Pogba

Paul Pogba’s move to Barcelona can be done if Ousmane Dembele joins Arsenal.

That is the sensational claim from the Daily Mail with nearly 48 hours left in the summer transfer window.

Pogba has been linked with a move to Barcelona with his agent Mino Raiola keen for him to leave Old Trafford.

But Barcelona need to raise funds if they want to sign Pogba having already recruited Malcom, Clement Lenglet, Arthur and Arturo Vidal for a combined £113million.

And the report by the Mail says the Catalan club must sell Dembele to capture Pogba.

Arsenal are understood to be interested in the France winger, which would see him link up with former Dortmund team-mate Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Kovacic to Chelsea

Mateo Kovacic is being lined up to join Chelsea on loan.

The Real Madrid midfielder went AWOL yesterday in a bid to force a move.

Kovacic has insisted he wants a move to get first team football and Marca claim he is on the verge of joining Chelsea on loan.

Maurizio Sarri has signed Jorginho from Napoli and Rob Green so far this summer.

But the Italian is keen for more players before Thursday’s deadline.

Courtois latest

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has not reported for training for the second day in a row, according to Sky Sports.

Courtois missed training yesterday and has not shown up at the club’s Cobham training ground this morning as he looks to force a move to Real Madrid.

Maurizio Sarri had planned talks with the Belgian yesterday to outline his plans.

McGinn to Villa…

Aston Villa are set to sign Hibernian midfielder John McGinn.

The Championship side have signed two players this summer, with Andre Moreira and Axel Tuanzebe heading to Villa Park.

The club’s new owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens have steadied the ship at Villa, who were plunged into financial turmoil earlier this summer.

And according to Football Insider, Villa are set to complete their third signing soon.

They reckon Hibernian midfielder McGinn is set to undergo his Villa medical after having an offer accepted.

Football Insider add that Villa will beat Celtic to the 23-year-old, who have had three bids rejected.

McGinn is in the final year of his Hibs contract and the Scottish club are resigned to losing the midfielder this summer.

Villa have been given permission to hold talks with McGinn to finalise personal terms before his medical.

Courtois AWOL

Thibaut Courtois has gone AWOL from Chelsea in an attempt to force through his move to Real Madrid – and the Blues have four contenders to replace the goalkeeper.

He was due to return after holiday to training with Chelsea on Monday afternoon where talks with new manager Maurizio Sarri were scheduled, but he did not turn up at the club’s Cobham HQ.

Chelsea are now in a desperate race to sign a replacement goalkeeper before Thursday’s 5pm transfer deadline – with Stoke’s Jack Butland, AC Milan’s Pepe Reina, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and Sevilla’s Sergio Rico possible contenders.

Courtois was due to be at Chelsea’s Community Shield game against Manchester City on Sunday, which they lost 2-0, with the rest of the non-playing squad, but did not show up.

The 26-year-old’s two children both live in Madrid where Courtois was sent on loan to Atletico shortly after joining Chelsea.

Hart deal done

Joe Hart has signed a two-year deal for Burnley.

A statement read: “Burnley Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Joe Hart as they add to the international pedigree at Turf Moor.

“The England goalkeeper has joined the Clarets for an undisclosed fee on an initial two-year contract after ending a trophy-laden 12-year stay at Manchester City.”

Chelsea in for Fekir

Chelsea are poised to open talks over a deal for Nabil Fekir when they face Lyon tonight.

The Blues are in the hunt for late additions before Thursday’s 5pm deadline.

Fekir was all set to join Liverpool before the World Cup but the deal collapsed.

And now Chelsea appear to be trying to get a deal over the line.

He would offer the Blues some much-needed spark in attack after their flat defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

Man Utd agree Alderweireld deal

Manchester United have a deal in place to sign Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham but must first wait for Spurs to line up a replacement, according to Goal.

They claim that the Red Devils have an agreement in place to sign the Belgian centre-back before Thursday’s 5pm transfer deadline.

But a deal will not be given the green light until Spurs can find a new man to take up Alderweireld’s spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

United have been linked with a vast number of central defenders this summer with contrasting rumours concerning interest in Harry Maguire, Yerry Mina and Jerome Boateng over the last couple of days.

But Alderweireld is believed to have been Jose Mourinho’s No 1 target throughout the summer, with Spurs and United having been unable to agree a fee earlier in the summer with the two clubs around £20million apart in their valuations.

Dembele to Arsenal

Arsenal are prepared to make a loan offer of £8.9million for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

The Gunners are short on natural wide players in their squad and are known to be interested in Dembele.

The France international struggled at Barcelona last season with injury and Spanish outlet Mundo Deportive claim the Gunners want to take Dembele on loan for a season and then pay £80m next summer.

Dembele is close friends with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following their time at Borussia Dortmund and the pair were spotted together at a party in England last week.
