Chelsea are desperate to keep Courtois but the player is keen on a move to Real Madrid.
The Belgium goalkeeper failed to report to training today as he tries to force through a move to the Bernabeu.
Chelsea are said to be demanding £35m from Real for their goalkeeper and are seeking a replacement shot-stopper.
It was claimed earlier today that Stoke’s Jack Butland would be Maurizio Sarri’s choice of replacement.
But reports in Spain claim the Blues are also looking at La Liga’s best No 1s.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Chelsea are open to signing Athletic Bilbao gem Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Arrizabalaga stayed at Bilbao last season despite intense interest from Real Madrid.
He had a £17.5m release clause last term but when Real failed to trigger it in January Kepa signed a new contract, raising the clause to £71m (€80m).
The 23-year-old boasts just one cap for Spain’s national side but is widely regarded as the successor for David De Gea when he hangs up his international gloves.
AS claim Arrizabalaga could rock up at Chelsea but they add that Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak is also on the Blues’ radar.
That deal may prove difficult, with Atletico likely to hold out for a hefty fee for their star Oblak, who is settled in Spain.
Arrizabalaga would likely jump at the chance to move to London, and Butland can be acquired on the cheap.
But Chelsea are facing a race against time to get a deal done this summer.
The Premier League transfer window closes on August 9 at 5pm.
That means Chelsea would have to agree to sell Courtois and have a replacement lined up within less than 72 hours notice.
